FOR STUDENTS

A participatory design workshop for students to develop imagination, futures thinking, ethical reasoning, collaboration/communication skills and agency.

A creative, collaborative studio where you build a “speculative village” for life after a clean slate. You’ll work in a small team, make a simple prototype, and share your ideas in a mini-exhibition. This is a fun way to learn about an interesting corner in the world of design, collaborate and make friends.
Why this workshop?
  • It’s not about doom—it’s about agency, care, and imagination.
  • Students co-create tangible “artifacts from the future,” like community tools, rituals, or services.
  • They learn to collaborate, communicate, and think ethically under constraints.
What we’ll do
  • Worldbuilding: Map signals and drivers of change; define shared values.
  • Prototyping: Build low-fi “ideas from the future.”
  • Reflection: Looking at what we would want from a “village from the future” and why.

What to bring

  • Yourself and your curiosity! All materials provided.
  • Optional: Water bottle, snacks, and a laptop/notebook.
